J and I semi-spontaneously bought a waffle iron nearly over a year ago. It took this SK challenge to finally make a waffle.
This is my first time making waffles, so please be understanding that they don’t look exactly…even. I’m sure I’ll get better, as SK has six waffle recipes. (In fact, she has a whole waffle section.)
Waffles have always been my last choice on the brunch breadstuff list. Pancakes first, then french toast, and then waffles. As a result, I almost never order waffles at a brunch restaurant. I will say that making waffles was very gratifying, however. Putting a wet mix into a heavy metal object, waiting a few minutes, and then having it transformed into a…waffle. It’s kind of inspiring. I’m looking forward to making these again.
